Regency glamour
December 10
Regency costume or black tie is the dress code for an exclusive fundraising Regency ball and dinner at Gilbert White’s House & Garden. Guests will be welcomed to the charming 18th century house with a warming glass of Negus (a regency recipe for mulled wine) and then will enjoy a delicious four course Regency-style dinner in the elegant Georgian dinning room. The dinner will be interspersed with dancing in the Great Parlour, which will be led by the Hampshire Regency Dancers who will be accompanied by live musicians.
Tickets cost £95, or a table for eight can be purchased for £600 which includes personalised menu cards and place settings, plus your own waitress for the evening.

Get your skates on
November 24 to January 2
Experience Winchester at its most beautiful with an exhilarating skate under the stars and see how the Cathedral provides a stunning backdrop to this wintery event. Shop til’ you drop
November 18, 6-9pm
Visit Stansted House and Garden Centre for a beautiful evening of shopping. Lit up with Christmas lights and full of wonderful goodies to suit all the family, have your Xmas gifts tied up and ready for the tree all in one go. With many local exhibitors as well as companies from further a field, the evening is set to be a shopping extravaganza, don’t miss Santa arriving in style and carolers will be adding to the festive atmosphere along with some delicious refreshments.
Xmas in the city
November 17, 6pm
Join in the fun at the Marlands Shopping Centre, Southampton as Santa arrives and assists The Mayor in switching on the city’s Christmas Lights, hosted by Patrick Sandford and his panto characters from the Nuffield Theatre. The Mayor will then join the Nuffield Theatre characters to declare the Southampton Christmas Festival Market as being officially open before being welcomed into WestQuay Shopping Centre for festivities including the making of a Chocolate Pizza with Willy Wonka.
Lighten up
November 19
Father Christmas is set to take time out of his busy schedule and lead a special Christmas lights parade in Eastleigh. The procession will start in Market Street at 5.15pm and make its way into the High Street before ending up at the bandstand on the Leigh Road recreation ground. Then at 6pm the town is set to be all lit up when Eastleigh Mayor, Councillor Wayne Irish will switch on the town’s Christmas lights display. A spectacular fireworks display will follow the official switch on of the lights and cap a special day in the town centre.

Switched on
November 19
See Santa and his Elves arrive on a giant magic sleigh as Gunwharf Quays switches on its Christmas lights. Enjoy music from Manchester boy band FTW, Portsmouth Rock Choir, The Neptune Girls and Portsmouth Grammar School Junior band. Wave 105 will continue the festivities after 6pm and fireworks will accompany the light switch on at 7pm.
Festive fireworks
November 10
Join in with the residents of Southsea as they celebrate the switching on of the towns Christmas lights. The event will be held in the pedestrian precinct area and will include a stage, musical acts, entertainment, children’s rides and a staged lights switch on followed by a firework finale.
It’s behind you
Deecember 8 to January 2
Join the swashbuckling cast of Peter Pan as they battle to rid Never Never Land of the evil Captain Hook and his devilish crew. Follow Wendy, John and Michael Darling as they meet Tiger Lily and the Indians, the Lost Boys, and the Fairies led by the impish Tinker Bell, but watch out for the crocodile.
